Firefighter and EMS study software, built by firefighters. Knightlite turns the textbooks on your reading list into practice questions, so you can find out what you actually know before exam day does.
Knightlite is a small, family-run business with its roots in the volunteer fire service. Our father served as a firefighter for more than 30 years, including as a captain in his volunteer fire department. He knew firsthand what it takes to study for certification and promotion while holding down a job, answering calls, and raising a family.
That is still who we build for. The study guides are written by firefighters, and the app is built by firefighters, for people who have to fit their studying into twenty minutes at the station or a ride home after shift.
Since 1996 the way Knightlite reaches firefighters has changed many times. The job has not: take the textbooks the fire service actually tests from, and turn them into practice questions you can work through on your own time.
A small, family-run business with roots in the volunteer fire service starts building study software for firefighters.
Knightlite's first study software: practice questions for the textbooks on fire service reading lists.
Larger question banks covering more books, more editions, and EMS as well as fire.
Full study helpers for the computer at home or at the station, still available from the Knightlite store.
The Knightlite app: one free download, with every study guide available inside it.
More than 43,000 practice questions, and more than 50,000 firefighters and EMTs helped along the way.
Every firefighter, EMT, and paramedic deserves a real chance not just to pass, but to excel. Promotional exams hand you a reading list of several books, each hundreds of pages long, and expect you to answer anything drawn from any of them. Reading and rereading is a slow, stressful way to prepare.
Knightlite is built to make that work manageable: find your weak spots, spend your time on what you do not know yet, and walk into the exam confident instead of hopeful.
Knightlite is an independent study software company. Our questions are written by Knightlite and are not official publisher exam questions. Knightlite is not affiliated with or endorsed by IFSTA, Jones & Bartlett, NFPA, or any other publisher, and no study guide can guarantee a passing score.
