Knightlite turns the textbook on your reading list into practice questions you can study by chapter, by weak spot, or against the clock. This guide walks through every screen in the app and what each feature does.
Knightlite is free to download. Each study guide is a separate purchase inside the app, so you only buy the books on your reading list. The Guides tab is where you choose which book you are studying.
Match the edition. Exams are written from the specific edition on your reading list. If you are not sure which guide you need, the study guide directory lists every book by title and edition.
The Home tab shows the book you are studying, how many questions and chapters it has, and how many you have answered. Below that are the controls that decide what goes into your next study session.
A short session picked for you each day, mixing questions you have missed, questions you have not seen yet, and questions due for review. Tap Start Daily Drill, and come back tomorrow to keep your Day Streak going. Once you finish, Run Again lets you repeat it. You can change how many questions are in each drill in Settings.
If you leave a quiz before finishing, Resume Test appears on the Home tab so you can pick up right where you left off.
Choose which questions are included in your next session.
Once your filters and settings are chosen, start the session with the whole book, or go to the Chapters tab to study one chapter at a time.
Under Modes on the Home tab, pick the way you want to study this round. The same questions can be practiced four different ways.
When you start a session, the Study tab opens. A progress bar across the top fills as you go. Each question has four answer choices: tap the one you think is right and you see the result immediately. A correct answer turns green. A wrong answer turns red, and the correct answer is highlighted so you learn it on the spot.
Use First, Previous, Next, and Last to move through the session.
In every mode, each question carries its location in the textbook. When a question gives you trouble, you do not have to hunt through the chapter to find the material again: the page number is right there.
A study loop that works: read a chapter, answer that chapter's questions with the book closed, flag what was genuinely unclear, reread those pages, then run the chapter again a few days later in random order.
Five-Alarm Mode trains speed under pressure, the way a written exam with a time limit does.
The starting time and the bonus per correct answer can both be adjusted in Settings.
The Chapters tab lists every chapter in your book, matching the textbook's own chapters. Each one shows its question count, how many you have seen, how many you got wrong, how many you flagged, and a percent complete, so you can see at a glance where you are strong and where you need another pass.
Choose one chapter or several, then decide whether to shuffle the questions and whether to cap the question count, then load just those chapters into your study session.
The Vocab tab holds the key terms and acronyms from your book. You can switch between Vocab and Study at any time without losing your place in a quiz.
Every finished quiz is saved under Quiz Results on the Home tab, with your score and how long it took. Open any result to see each question you missed, with your answer next to the correct one. From there you can:
Every note you have written on a question is collected in one place, so you can review everything you saved for a book before exam day.
